Sports & Games Trophy 2026: sport, inclusion and team spirit
For its 23rd edition, the Sports & Games Trophy once again brought together Cofidis Group employees from across Europe.
An opening ceremony celebrating inclusion
The weekend began at the STAB Vélodrome with the opening ceremony of the Sports & Games Trophy.
Katia Caniot, Cofidis Group’s Director of Human Resources and Communication, officially opened this 23rd edition.
Joining her was Mathieu Bosredon, three-time Paralympic champion and former Team Cofidis rider, who served as the event’s ambassador. He shared his experience and highlighted the importance of making diversity a strength, both in sport and in the workplace.
Team Cofidis para-cyclists Katell Alençon, Arthur Bauchet, Louis Hubert and Eliott Pierre were also there to meet employees and share their upcoming goals.
The evening continued with introductory track cycling sessions at the velodrome, ahead of the following day’s competition.
A day of sport and connection
At CREPS Hauts-de-France in Wattignies, employees came together to take part in a wide range of sports, including badminton, running, basketball, volleyball, pétanque, table tennis, football and the “duo de tirs” challenge.
This year’s edition also introduced something new: the Inclusion Challenge, organised with FACE MEL. Participants could try four inclusive activities: boccia, wheelchair rugby, archery and a blindfolded course.
Employees, along with family and friends who joined them in the afternoon, had the opportunity to explore different ways of taking part in sport and gain a better understanding of inclusion and accessibility.
Participants’ involvement also helped support FACE MEL’s work to improve access to employment and tackle exclusion.
On the competitive side, Cofidis France took the title at this 23rd edition of the Sports & Games Trophy.
Beyond the results, this event is first and foremost an opportunity to come together, build connections across our entities and bring our values of commitment, simplicity and performance to life.
