Prague Marathon: The 8th Edition of a Sporting Adventure

On Sunday, May 3, 2026, 80 Cofidis Group employees crossed the finish line at the Prague Marathon. This marks another milestone in a collective adventure that, since 2017, has brought the group’s teams together around a shared athletic challenge.

A European event with a long-term perspective

For the past eight years, the Cofidis Group has invited its employees each year to participate in a marathon held in one of the countries where the group operates. This initiative brings together teams from the group’s various European subsidiaries at the same starting line, while offering participants the opportunity to discover a new culture.

Following Warsaw in 2025 with Cofidis Poland, Cofidis Czech Republic took over in 2026 to welcome runners to the Czech capital. Over the years, this event has become a major highlight in the group’s calendar, bringing together runners of all skill levels who have been training for several months.

Diverse backgrounds, a common goal

Among the 80 participants representing all of the Cofidis Group’s subsidiaries were both beginner runners and experienced marathoners. While their skill levels and paces varied, the goal remained the same: to challenge themselves and push their limits—together.

Throughout the preparation period, group training sessions allowed participants to build bonds across borders and job roles, and to exchange advice and encouragement.

In terms of results, several employees stood out in particular:

  • Top 3 Women: Mélanie Bentahar (2:57), 26th woman overall, Stéphanie Gérez (3:40), and Sabrina Crétin (3:43).
  • Top 3 Men: Florent Poleyn (2:53), Antoine Boyard (2:58), and Thibault Leblanc (2:59).

A human experience that goes beyond the athletic challenge

Beyond the race, the trip also gave participants the opportunity to learn about Cofidis Czech Republic, tour its facilities, and immerse themselves in Czech culture through a program dedicated to exploring Prague.

This cultural and human dimension is an integral part of the initiative: this annual event is part of a comprehensive policy promoting employee well-being by encouraging participation in sports, strengthening ties between subsidiaries, and valuing the human experience.

Team spirit, pushing one’s limits, and cohesion: these are all values that come to life in every edition of the event.

Congratulations to all participants for their commitment and energy, and a big thank you to the teams at Cofidis Czech Republic for their warm welcome and excellent organization.
