INCLUSION
For National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Cofidis Group is working alongside the association Coaching suspendu.
30,000 new cases of cancer are reported each year in the Hauts de France. 1 woman out of 5 has not returned to work within 2 years of being diagnosed with cancer. Because women represent 67% of the group's head office employees and several employees have already been affected by this disease, Cofidis Group is committed to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and is working alongside the association Coaching suspendu.
Helping people return to work after a long illness
In line with its #Like approach to fight against exclusion, Cofidis Group in France has chosen to support, once again, Le Coaching suspendu, an association that promotes the return to work of women in the Hauts de France affected by cancer. Through quality and supportive professional coaching, the women are supported in their return to work after long months off.
To make colleagues and managers aware of this sensitive issue of backing to work after cancer, all employees of the Cofidis Group campus in France were invited to participate in the conference “Returning to work after cancer: alone is good. Accompanied is better”, led by Helen Burzlaff, president of the association.
At the same time, a session of yoga on a chair was offered to employees to learn simple postures to relax and thus relieve the symptoms linked to the disease.
All concerned, all mobilized for a solidarity walk
Because the employees of Cofidis, Monabanq, Creatis and Synergie always give their all for a good cause, they decided to put on their sneakers during their lunch break and brave the rain for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month! For each campus tour completed by an employee, 1€ was donated to the association Coaching suspendu.
To raise the stake, employees dressed in pink could also post a selfie on the company’s social network and add an extra 1€! In total, 5 women will be able to benefit from personalised coaching thanks to the mobilisation of employees from 4 subsidiaries of the group.
Congratulations to all the employees who took part in the event and who are united for this cause that concerns us all.
