International Women's Day
To mark International Women's Day, the Cofidis Group is celebrating women through initiatives across Europe.
Celebrating the Women Who Inspire Us Every Day
The Cofidis Group wanted to mark this special occasion with initiatives aligned with its commitment to gender equality. The goal was to celebrate female employees, encourage recognition, and create opportunities for team bonding.
On campus, several activities were offered to employees:
- Customizable cards to send a message to a female colleague who inspires them (examples: “You’re brilliant,” “You’re powerful,” etc.)
- A collaborative poster where employees could write the first name of a woman who has influenced their professional journey
These activities fostered dialogue, celebrated career paths, and highlighted inspiring figures from everyday life.
At the same time, an art exhibition was held from March 4 to 31, in partnership with L’Oiseau Bleu Créations. It highlights eight female inventors who have made their mark on history through their contributions. Among them:
- Fei-Fei Li, creator of ImageNet, the foundation of modern AI
- Gladys West, mathematician and inventor of GPS
- Yvonne Brill, inventor of the satellite propulsion system
- Melitta Bentz, who invented the coffee filter
A Group-wide initiative
Building on the actions carried out in France, Cofidis Group is also rolling out these initiatives across Europe. The exhibition dedicated to women inventors has been replicated at several subsidiaries, notably in Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland. The postcards are also being distributed in Slovakia to encourage recognition among male and female employees.
This simple initiative, shared across the entire group, aims to highlight women’s talents and bring the commitment to gender equality to life in a tangible way.
